Logging Meter Usage

Meter usage can be either manually entered or imported from an Excel spreadsheet.

Entering Current Usage

  1. Select Setup > Association Meter Rates. If you are using universal navigation, click Accounting > Settings > Association Meter Rates.

  2. On the Meter Rate List screen, search for and select an association.

  3. Click the Post Usage tab.

  4. On the Post Meter Usage screen, select the Meter Type. The screen will display the following:

    • Meter #

    • Address

    • Account #

    • Prior Reading

    • Current Reading

    • Usage

  5. Select the Date for the readings you are entering.

  6. For each meter, enter the Current Reading. The Usage will automatically calculate.

  7. Once all entries have been made, click Save. A new date option appears in the Date selector field so that you can review past entries saved to meters if needed.

Importing Meter Readings

To import meter readings using an Excel spreadsheet:

  1. Select Setup > Association Meter Rates. If you are using universal navigation, click Accounting > Settings > Association Meter Rates.

  2. On the Meter Rate List screen, search for and select an association.

  3. Click the Post Usage tab.

  4. On the Post Meter Usage screen, select the Meter Type.

  5. Click Import.

  6. On the Import Meter Usage screen, download the MeterRatesFormat Excel spreadsheet template.

  7. Complete the spreadsheet with data for each meter reading and save the file.

  8. On the Import Meter Usage screen, click Choose File and select the completed spreadsheet.

  9. When the document name appears on the Import Meter Usage screen, click Import.

  10. Return to the Setup > Association Meter Rates / Post Usage screen to review the readings. If you are using universal navigation, click Accounting > Settings > Association Meter Rates.
