NOTE: This feature applies only to the management companies with the Homeowner and Board Member app.

Accessing Custom Content for Mobile

To add custom content, log in to the admin portal and navigate to Manage Content > Custom Content For Mobile. If you are using universal navigation, click Settings > Resident Portal Management > Custom Content.

NOTE: If Custom Content for Mobile is not an available option under Manage Content, verify that the correct security permissions are applied to the admin account attempting to access this feature.

Once the Custom Content for Mobile screen has been accessed, the user can add global custom content for all associations or edit content for any specific association.

Adding Global Custom Content

To add custom global content, select All Associations from the association dropdown. Click New Custom Content to begin.

NOTE: The admin user must have access to all associations to see the All Associations option in the dropdown.

A screen with the following user inputs will display:

  • Custom Content Name (required): What the custom content will be named in the admin portal

  • Menu Title (required): The name of the custom content as it will be displayed within the Homeowner and Board Member app

  • Menu Order (required): The menu position in which the custom content will be under the Additional Info section of the side menu within the app

  • Restricted Global Content: Checking this box will prevent the global content from being edited for a specific association

  • Choose Content Option: the admin user will have the option to add custom content either as:

  • An external link

  • Custom content (user-defined content)

External Link Option

The app can pull up an external link by adding custom content defined as an external link. When adding an external link, the admin user must enter the entire URL; otherwise, the screen will not load properly (e.g. https://www.cincsystems.com/). Once the desired link has been entered, click Create Content to add. *NOTE: Choosing this option will not present the app user with a fully functional browser within the app. The screen will be limited to only the link entered.

Custom Content Option

To add user defined content with either the design editor or the HTML editor, choose the Custom Content option. This will display the following screen:

To add user-defined content through the Design Editor, select the Design tab. From here, the admin user can enter in their own desired content using the formatting controls on the top of the editor, as well as any desired tags. An example would be:

To add user-defined content through the HTML editor, select the HTML tab. From here, the admin user can enter in their own desired html content, such as embed code, within the html editor. An example would be adding embedded content provided by YouTube:

NOTE: Embedded content is limited to iframes.

Once all desired content has been added, it will be displayed in the Global Content section of the screen.

From this screen, the admin user can edit or delete any existing custom content.

Adding Association-Specific Custom Content

To edit any global content for a specific association, choose the desired association from the dropdown. Any global content available for editing will appear under the Global Content section. Admin users can edit this for the selected association by clicking Edit Assoc next to the desired global content.

A screen similar to the Add Global Content screen will appear that allows editing only the content for the selected association (the name, menu title, and menu order cannot be edited).

Click Update Content to add the association-specific content. Once added, it will appear on the screen under the Association Specific Content section.

The admin user can edit or delete the content from this screen. Deleting the association-specific content will remove it for the selected association only. To remove any global content for all associations, select All Associations from the dropdown to manage global content. *NOTE: Deleting global content will also remove all linked association-specific content.

Accessing Homeowner and Board Member App—Custom Content

Once all desired global content has been added, all app users will be able to access it by logging into their Homeowner and Board Member app and opening the side menu bar. All custom content will be under the Additional Info section.

Tapping any of these options will pull up a separate screen within the app displaying the content. Below are examples of each custom content option.
