Select Accounting > Chart Of Accounts. Search for an association by either Account Number or Description. If you are using universal navigation, click Accounting > Settings > Chart Of Accounts.
Adding a COA
Click New to add a COA.
Complete these fields:
Account Description
Account Number (using format shown)
Report Type
Balance Sheet
Income Statement
Typical Balance
Debit
Credit
Reserve Account: Toggle on if there will be a separate set of financials created.
Include in Reserve Schedule: Toggle on to include in Reports > Accounting > Reserve Schedule Reports. If you are using universal navigation, click Insights > Analytics > Email insights.
Click Save.
Deleting a COA
COAs may be deleted if they are not being used.
Select the checkbox next to the entry to be deleted and click Delete.
Confirm the deletion on the popup.
Merging COA
Combine multiple accounts into one with the Merge function.
Select two or more accounts and click Merge.
In the popup, select the Account Description name to keep, then click Save.
Exporting COA to Excel
Select the account(s) to be exported to an Excel report, then click Excel. A report is generated and stored in the default download directory.
Copying a COA
To copy an existing COA to a different community:
Select the Homeowner’s Association from which to copy.
Select an Account Description and click Copy. In the popup, select either All Accounts or Selected Accounts, and press Accept. Confirm selection in the next popup.
Back on the Chart of Accounts screen, select the HOA to which to copy the COA(s), then press Paste.
