CINC recommends daily bank reconciliation using the Reconcile Checkbook Transactions screen when working with a non-partner bank to find outstanding bank transactions.

NOTE: If working with a partner bank, see Reconciling Bank Transactions.

  1. Select Banking > Reconcile Checkbook Transactions. (You can also select Banking > Reconciling Bank Transactions > Checkbook Transactions tab.) If you are using universal navigation, click Accounting > Reconciliation > Reconcile Checkbook Transactions. If you are using universal navigation, click Accounting > Daily > Reconcile Bank Transactions. If you are using universal navigation, click Accounting > Reconciliation > Reconcile Checkbook Transactions.

  2. Choose the association.

  3. Click the Include: Unreconciled option.

  4. Select the From and To dates (usually the statement’s beginning date and ending date) and the Bank Ending Balance date (same as statement’s ending date).

  5. Click Refresh.

  6. To view details about an item in the Checks / Debits section, click the Invoice hyperlink to open the Invoice screen.

  7. Using the bank account statement, select the checkboxes to the left of the entries in the Deposits / Credits and Checks / Debits sections to reconcile those items.

    NOTE: You can click on the column headers in the green bar to re-sort the list.

  8. Choose a date in the Reconciled For field. Defaults to today’s date.

  9. Click Save.
