Printing checks is the final step in paying a vendor by check. It's where an approved, posted invoice becomes a physical check ready to mail. This step requires a separate application called the CINC Client, referred to as the check printing client.
Before you print your first check, download and set up the check printing client on your computer. If you haven’t done this yet, contact your Customer Success Manager for help getting set up.
Follow these steps to print checks:
In your computer’s task bar, click the Search icon and then search for CINC Client. Click the CINC Client icon.
The application starts but does not open. From your computer’s task bar, open the hidden icons.
Click the CINC Client icon.
The Options window displays. Click Print to view the checks and deposits.
Note: The first time you use the check printing client, configure the Check Printer and Deposit Printer.
Enter your CINC login credentials.
The Print Transactions window displays, showing all checks and deposits available for printing, listed alphabetically by association name. The Preview section displays a preview of the selected check or deposit slip, including the vendor, amount, and check memo.
Note: You can also view checks and deposits available for printing on the Pending Checks/Deposits page in CINC.
Select an option to control which transactions are shown or printed:
Check All: Selects all checks or deposits for printing.
Uncheck All: Clears all selections so you can use the checkboxes next to each association name to specify which checks or deposits to print.
View: Select All, Checks Under/Equal to Signature Limit, or Checks Over Signature Limit. This lets you print checks in batches based on whether they're signed electronically or need a physical signature.
Print: Select Checks or Deposits.
Note: If Include Deposits is DISABLED displays in red, close the application and ensure Include Deposits is selected on the Option window.
Confirm check selection.
Click Print.
A verification window displays. Click OK.
Verify that all checks and deposit slips printed correctly.
If all checks and deposit slips are correct, click Update as Printed to mark the item as printed in the check register.
Note: This is a critical step. It prevents printing duplicate checks and deposit slips.
A confirmation window displays. Click Yes.
A confirmation window displays. Click OK.
The application closes automatically.
