Customizing Public Document Access in Connect Admin

You can control whether the Documents tab displays in the association’s landing page menu and provides access to the document repository. Visitors only see files that have been granted public view permission.

Follow these steps to customize public document access:

  1. In CINC Connect Admin, go to Settings.

    OR

In CINC with universal navigation, go to Settings > Resident portal management > Global settings.

  2. The Settings page displays. Click the General tab.

  3. In the Public Document Access section, enable the toggle to display the Documents tab.

A Documents tab displays on the association’s Landing Page menu. Visitors can access the document repository there, and only see the folders that have been granted public view permission.

Note: Public documents can’t live on a shared global page. Each association needs its own dedicated page to host them, and a web keyword is what generates that association-specific URL. Every association must have one set up before its public documents can be accessed.

    1. In CINC, go to Setup > Association Setup. Select the appropriate association and add a keyword in the Web Keyword field, such as the association code or association abbreviation.

      OR

In CINC with universal navigation, go to Associations > Associations > All associations. Select the appropriate association and add a keyword in the Web Keyword field, such as the association code or association abbreviation.

  4. Share the public link using the web keyword. For example, domain.cincconnect.com/keyword.
