Managing Security Permissions
Security permissions are assigned to CINC Accounting users based on security groups.
NOTE: Each Security Group defaults with CINC suggested permission types but can be changed.
The following security permission types are available for each Applicable Area:
Add
Copy
Import
Merge
New
Paste
Post
Publish
Save and New
Write Off
Update
Approve
Decline
Download
Reconcile
Recurring
Save
Transfer
Delete
Close
Delete
Void
View
View
View but not Add, Update, or Delete any information on the screen.
The View permission is often also required for Add, Update, or Delete actions to work when the task is performed on a screen.
Assigning Security Permissions
To assign security permissions to a security group:
Select System > Security Permissions. If you are using universal navigation, click Settings > Security > Security Permissions.
Select the Security Group from the dropdown.
Assign security permission types. Click Here to view a list of descriptions for each Application Area. You can also hoover over the Applicable Area item to display a description.
To select all security permissions for all Application Areas, select the security permission type checkbox(es) in the green bar.
To select all security permissions for an Application Area, select the permission type checkbox(es) in the gray bar.
To select individual security permissions for an item in an Application Area, toggle on each security permission type as needed.
Click Save.
Adding or Editing Security Groups
If you need additional groups and security configurations, you can add additional Security Groups on the Maintain Drop Down Options screen.
Select System > Drop Down Options. If you are using universal navigation, click Settings > General > Drop Down Options.
On the Maintain Drop Down Options screen, select Security Group in the Drop Down List field.
Click New to add a new security group. You can also edit the name of an existing security group.
Click Save.
