Setting up Violation Sub-Templates

Specific or general sub-violation templates can be created. Generic sub-template can be used by any association.

  1. Select Tools > Correspondence Template. If you are using universal navigation, click Associations > Correspondence Tasks > Correspondence Templates.

  2. Search for and select the desired association to create an association-specific sub-template or select All associations to create a general sub-template.

  3. Select Violation Sub Template from the Template Type dropdown.

  4. Click New.

  5. On the Edit Correspondence Template screen, enter a name for the template in the Template Name field based on the content of the violation (e.g., Trash Cans).

  6. (Optional) Add a Violation Additional Description merge tag:

    • Select Violation Additional Description in the Select Tags field on the Template toolbar.

      NOTE: The Violation Additional Description tag will pull in the information as entered in the Additional Description field listed on the New Violations screen.

    • Position the cursor body (text) in the area within the template where the tag should display and click Insert.

  7. (Optional) Add a Violation Covenant merge tag:

    • Select Violation Covenant in the Select Tags field on the Template toolbar.

      NOTE: The Violation Covenant tag will pull in association-specific policies regarding the violation as it was entered in the Covenant template.

    • Position the cursor body (text) in the area within the template where the tag should display and click Insert.

  8. Enter specific text as needed in the body of the template between the merge tags. For example, “Per your association’s rules and regulations,” in the text body.

  9. Click Save.
