Sending Notifications in Connect Admin

You can create, schedule, and manage notifications, giving you control over how and when messages are delivered to users.

Note: Once a notification is sent, it can’t be recalled or deleted. Only drafts and scheduled notifications can be edited or deleted.

Follow these steps to send a notification:

  1. In CINC Connect Admin, go to Communications Center > Notifications.

    OR

In CINC with universal navigation, go to Communications > Broadcast > Announcements.

  2. The Notifications page displays all the current notifications and includes a count on the top of the page of Sent, Scheduled, and Draft notifications. Click Add New.

  3. The New Notification page displays, along with a Recipients Preview window. This window dynamically displays key information such as the estimated number of recipients, available delivery channels, and if any of these channels are blocked for certain users. This helps you better understand the reach of the communication before finalizing it. Hover over any of the Informationicons to view information about any blocked channels.

  4. From the Select Target drop-down list, select whether you are sending this notification to All Associations, One Association, or a Custom Association Selection.

    Notes:

    • If you select One Association or a Custom Association Selection, you must then select the appropriate association(s).

    • If one association is selected, you can enable the Send to Specific Section(s) toggle to select specific groups in the association, allowing you to more precisely target homeowners.

  5. In the Select User Types section, enable the toggles to control the audience. Both are enabled by default.

    • Registered Users only: Only users with a Connect registration

    • Unregistered Users only: Only contacts without a Connect registration

    • Both: every contact with an email on file, registered or not

    Notes:

    • At least one toggle must be enabled to submit.

    • Applies to Email, SMS, and Push.

    • Works alongside other filters. For example, Owner persona + Registered Users only sends to registered owners in the selected associations.

  6. If appropriate, select the user Persona that this notification is being sent to.

  7. If appropriate, select the Board and Committees that this notification is being sent to.

Note: If Owner is selected as a recipient type, adding a board or committee member on top of it isn't necessary and will send duplicate emails to any board or committee members who are also owners.

  8. Click Next.

  9. Select the appropriate Delivery Methods, such as Email, SMS Text Message, and Push Notification.

  10. Enter email addresses in the Bcc field as needed.

  11. Enter the Subject and Message.

  12. Click Add Attachment to search for and add a file to the notification.

  13. If applicable, enable the Optimize SMS toggle to create an optimized SMS version and then enter the appropriate message. This ensures your message is clear, concise, and effective when delivered by text message, where space and formatting are limited.

  14. If applicable, enable the Schedule to Send Later? toggle and select the date that you want the notification sent.

  15. Click Send Notification or Schedule.

The system sends the notification immediately or as scheduled.

    Notes:

    • Communications inherit the colors set on the Landing Page. When sent to multiple associations, they use the management company's styling instead.

    • If you close the notification without sending or scheduling, the notification is saved as a draft.
