Adding a New Custom ACC Template in Connect Admin

Follow these steps to add a new custom ACC template:

  1. In CINC with universal navigation, go to Settings > Resident portal management > Manage custom ACC templates.

  2. The Manage Custom ACC Templates page displays. Click Add New Custom ACC Template.

  3. The Add/Edit Custom ACC Template window displays. Enter the Template Name and the Page Heading and select the checkboxes for whatever the form needs, such as homeowner details to prepopulate, contact information to display or let homeowners edit for that request, planned start/completion dates, an attachment link, up to three acknowledgement statements, and any custom fields (with a name, type, order, and whether it’s mandatory).

Use these hints to create your custom ACC template:

    • Template Name: This is just for Management Company use and the homeowners do not see it, so it can reflect the association’s name.

    • Page Heading: The title homeowners see displayed on the form.

    • Display Zip?: Leave this field clear since it duplicates information already captured in the Address field.

    • Display Village?: The village the unit is in, if applicable.

    • Display Phase?: The phase of the community, if applicable.

    • Is Home Phone Editable?: Select this checkbox to make the field editable so homeowners can update their contact information.

    • Is Cell Phone Editable?: Select this checkbox to make the field editable so homeowners can update their contact information.

    • Display Planned Start Date?: Select this checkbox. This field is especially useful for new developments where project timing matters. You also need to decide whether to select the Is Planned Start Date Required? checkbox before the homeowner can submit the form.

    • Display Planned Completion Date?: Select this checkbox. This field is especially useful for new developments where project timing matters. You also need to decide whether to select the Is Planned Completion Date Required? checkbox before the homeowner can submit the form.

    • Planned Start Date Heading: The heading you enter here provides the directions for the Planned Start Date field.

    • Planned Completion Date Heading: The heading you enter here provides the directions for the Planned Completion Date field.

    • Display Attachment?: Homeowners can upload an unlimited number of attachments, each up to 10MB. Select this checkbox to make the attachment field available to homeowners. You also need to decide whether to select the Is Attachment Required? checkbox before the homeowner can submit the form.

    • Attachment Heading: The heading you enter here provides instructions on what the homeowner should attach. For example, Please attach Architectural Request Form, plans/drawings, copy of survey, materials, pictures, etc. to help the committee make its decision.

    • Acknowledgements Heading Text: For example, By clicking submit, I hereby agree to each of the following.

    • Display Acknowledgements (1-3): Select this checkbox to display the associated Acknowledgement Text.

    • Acknowledgements (1-3) Text: For example, agreeing that the improvement may need to be altered or removed if it doesn’t match the approved plan; agreeing not to start the project before receiving formal ACC approval; and understanding that ACC approval doesn’t replace city or municipal approval, and a separate building permit may still be required.

    • Display Other ACC Type?: Select this checkbox to allow owners to enter their project type for requests that don’t fit the standard options. Allow this if Other is an option on your ACC Type drop-down list.

    • Other Field Details: Every form should include a Detailed Description of the Project field so homeowners can explain their request. Other optional fields worth adding include who will be completing the work, the contractor’s name (if applicable), and whether neighbor approval has been obtained.

  4. Click Save & Preview.

The system saves the template and a preview displays.
