Viewing the Homeowner Payment Experience with Subledgers

When you enable subledgers, they support payments for both one-time payments and AutoPay. When subledgers are not enabled, they display as unavailable on the Make a Payment page, and homeowners must pay by check or another method.

One-Time Payments

On the Select Payment Allocation page, homeowners can see all subledgers on their account, such as assessment charges and special assessments.

A homeowner can enter a payment amount for one or more subledgers by selecting that option and entering an amount, even when no balance is due. The system shows whether a payment is short, exact, or results in a credit.

When the homeowner clicks Save Payment Allocation, payment information displays on the Make a Payment page for the homeowner to review and submit.

AutoPay Payments

Calculated balance options, such as Assessment Balance or Total Balance, pull in all eligible amounts across all subledgers. If a homeowner is not using a calculated balance option, each subledger requires its own AutoPay schedule. For example, if a special assessment is set up as a separate subledger with monthly installments, the homeowner needs to create one AutoPay schedule for the special assessment and another for the regular monthly assessments.

On the Select Payment Allocation page, a homeowner can select only one option at a time for AutoPay.

A homeowner can enter a flat payment amount for a specific subledger by clicking the subledger and entering an amount in the field.

When the homeowner clicks Save Payment Allocation, payment information displays on the Add AutoPay page for the homeowner to review and submit.
