Contacts & Consent - Managing Contacts and Consent Community Portal Preferences in WebAxis Admin Portal

Administrators can control what actions homeowners are permitted to take on their contact preferences directly from System Settings > Miscellaneous Parameters in the Admin Portal. This gives management companies the ability to standardize how homeowners interact with their own contact information.

The available settings are:

  • Enable Communication Preferences

  • Set Default Communication Preference to Email

  • Allow Users to Add/Edit Mailing Addresses

Note: The Update Billing Type Owner Address Record profile setting on the System Settings > Miscellaneous Parameters page is ignored by the system when Contacts and Consent is enabled.

Follow these steps to control what actions homeowners are permitted to take on their contact preferences:

  1. In WebAxis Admin, go to System Settings > Miscellaneous Parameters.

  2. The Miscellaneous Parameters page displays.

  3. Enable the following settings as needed:

Field

Description

Enable Communication Preferences

Select to allow homeowners to manage their contact preferences from the My Profile page in the portal and app.5

Set Default Communication Preference to Email

Select to default Receive Correspondence on the Login Registration page to Email.

When a new registration creates a new contact, communication preferences are set to email by default. If the registration is matched to an existing contact and this checkbox is not selected, the contact's existing preferences are inherited instead.

Allow Users to Add/Edit Mailing Addresses

Select to allow homeowners to add and update additional mailing addresses from My Profile. The primary property address is not editable by homeowners.

  1. Click Update.
