Help Functions

Help functions are available within CINC Accounting to assist users with the navigation and use of the system.

Functions include the following:

  • User Training Guide: The full CINC Training Users Guide can be found under Help/User Training Guide. Click on the + sign next to OVERVIEW to access each section of the manual. Click on a section or the combined document link; the selection will open a PDF that can be downloaded.

  • Webinar Schedule: The Webinar Schedule is located under Help > Webinar Schedule. This screen displays a list of upcoming and pre-recorded webinars. If you are using universal navigation, click Help > Help > Webinar Schedule.

NOTE: There is a section of recommended videos for those who are new to CINC Accounting.

  • On-Screen Help Buttons: Help buttons are available in the top-right corner of designated screens (e.g., the Homeowner Listing screen). Click the Help link to open a new window containing the following information related to the specific screen:

    • Overview: Details the functions that exist on the screen in view.

    • Security Permissions: Shows permissions needed to use the screen.

    • Special Cases/Notes: Contains best practice tips for using the screen.

    • Usage: Provides step by step instructions for using each function on the screen.

    • Related Topics: Provides a list and links to other functions related to the screen. Click on one of the related topics to be taken to the same options for that function.

  • Find an Answer: Find an Answer is located under Help > Support if available. A new window will open into CINC’s Salesforce ticketing database. Click Find an Answer and enter a keyword to search for related results. A list of knowledge articles will display in relation to the desired topic. Click on an article to read information regarding the keyword used in the search. If you are using universal navigation, click Help > Help > Support Assist.

NOTE: A list of previously submitted cases related to the search keyword will be displayed. Click on a previous case topic to see responses as they may contain answers to questions.

NOTE: If Support is unavailable, see the system admin for access.

  • Submit a Case: Located under Help > Support (if available). A new window will open into CINC’s Salesforce ticketing database. Click on the Submit a Case tab to submit a case to the CINC Support Team. See the screen for more information regarding case processing and business hours. If you are using universal navigation, click Help > Help > Support Assist.

NOTE: This feature is not available to customers that are still in implementation. These customers should send their questions to their Implementation Project Manager.

NOTE: If support is unavailable, see the system admin for access.

NOTE: If there is an issue and the system is unavailable, send an email to [email protected]. If the issue is OPERATION CRITICAL, make that the subject line of the email to alert leadership and to ensure proper resources are aware of the issue.
