You can create a voting ballot for an association, giving residents a way to weigh in on association matters.
Follow these steps to add a new voting ballot:
In CINC Connect Super Admin, select Associations > All Associations on the left side menu.
OR
In universal navigation, go to Settings > Resident portal management > View all associations.
The Associations page displays. Select the appropriate association.
The Association page displays. Click the Participation tab.
Click Add New.
The New Ballot page displays. Select the Ballot Type.
Notes:
The available ballot fields will vary depending on the Ballot Type selected.
Electoral ballots (board elections) are final once submitted, and results and the vote breakdown stay hidden roughly 20 minutes after the ballot closes. Non-Electoral ballots can be changed until the ballot closes, and results and the breakdown are visible live while voting is open. If your state doesn’t require a secret ballot, Non-Electoral is usually the right choice for anything other than a board election.
Enter the Ballot Title.
Click to upload a Ballot Image in either .jpg,.png, or .gif format.
Note: 16MB is the file limit. It is recommended to have a landscape orientation, sized between 1400x1000 and 1920x1080, with the subject centered.
Enter the Ballot Description.
Select the dates for when the Voting Starts and Voting Ends.
Select the date for the Opt-in deadline.
Note: This is the cutoff date by which eligible voters need to register or confirm participation in this ballot before voting actually opens.
Enter the Quorum.
Note: This is the minimum number of votes/participants required for the ballot's result to be considered valid.
Complete the following fields:
If you selected Electoral Ballot, enter the Candidate information for each individual. This includes the Candidate Name, Candidate Photo, Candidate Bio, and any additional documents. Click Add candidate if you need to add more individuals to the ballot.
If you selected Non-Electoral Ballot, Multiple Choice Answer, enter the Option information. This includes the Option, Option Description, and any additional documents. Click Add option if you need to add more options to the ballot.
If you selected Non-Electoral, Yes or No Answer, there are no additional fields to populate.
If you selected Electoral Ballot, or Non-Electoral Ballot with Multiple Choice Answer, complete the Candidate Selection Settings by setting the Minimum Candidate Selection (the fewest candidates a voter must choose for a valid ballot) and the Maximum Candidate Selection (the most candidates a voter is allowed to choose).
Click Publish Ballot.
Note: Alternatively, you can click Save & Preview until you are ready to publish the ballot.
